The Gallery at the Angel was founded under the protection of angel wings in 2002 as an institution of modern and contemporary fine art.
About us
Spiš is an extraordinary region. The intersection of historical monuments with the nature of the Tatra Mountains creates a unique attractive space. Natural beauties and priceless historical monuments create a unique backdrop for the work of a modern gallery. With its location near the Kežmarok Castle, it has become part of the modern history of the city. I am following the rich cultural heritage of my ancestors, which is why I built the Gallery of Modern Fine Arts. It is focused on presenting Slovak fine arts of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Gallery's collections include graphics, paintings and sculptures.
Since the establishment of the Gallery, I have been intensively involved in exhibitions of graphic artists. I organize individual authorial exhibitions of leading Slovak, Czech, European and Japanese artists.
Through systematic work, I want to build a modern Gallery of Fine Arts of European format.
